thumbnail_25242This week, we sit down to discuss the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Spider-Man: Homecoming!  If you are looking for all of us to disagree about a movie, this is not going to be the one.  We all loved it.  While we don’t make any bold arguments that this is the best Spider-Man film, we may well have considered going there had one of us chosen to ask the question.  As with all of our movie-centric episodes, we must warn you we spoil the shit out of the film so if you haven’t seen it yet, and you care about such things, consider yourself warned!

  1. Let me first say I loved Spider-man: Homecoming. It was fantastic. Second, Molly was correct on the pronunciation of my last name. Third, the song was epic and it made me laugh and made my co-workers look at me like I’m crazy (which, to be fair, is true). Sadly I was not stocking cans; I was in the shredded cheese area. Still loving the podcast, and I’m all caught up so I will be sending you my answers for your new 5 questions soon!

  2. I thought the fact that he went to a science/math magnet school was one of the best parts. It leaves the whole jock vs. nerd dynamic (which was fine in the Raimi ones but enough is enough) in the dust. And I personally *didn’t* think that Parker came off as being the smartest kid in the whole school, and I thought that was fine. I mean, the math team didn’t want to do without him, but that seemed to be just because they didn’t want to do without anyone.
