We have a very heavy topic this week that was inspired by the loss of a couple of pets. Why, we wondered, is there very little moral ambiguity around ending the life of a pet who is suffering but a great deal when we are talking about a thinking, reasoning person? We talk about the difference between suicide and euthanasia, the value of human life versus that of other animals and Brittany Maynard. Grab a tissue for the saddest Geeks Without God yet!
Sad, this episode is not showing up in my feed.
D’oh! That was me. I forgot to attach the episode to the post. It should be there now!
My Tuesday is now complete.
Awesome Possum! My Tuesday has now been made worth the while.
Great episode! This topic has been getting a lot of attention in Canada over the past month, with some government shenanigans and a favourable court case possibly maybe and the big question of how the government will fight back… so I’m glad to hear it’s getting attention there too.
I have just a couple questions. First, at 11:44, is that a TARDIS in the background? If you have a howling cat that sounds that much like a TARDIS I think the public has the right to know.
Second, (I wouldn’t ask this about such a sad topic if you weren’t all professional insult comics) is the dog named Ayn because it shits on everything and expects other people to clean it up?
Question: can we answer the 5 questions again if we have different answers?
We have established no rules against it so I’m going to say yes.
