673791-right-to-dieWe have a very heavy topic this week that was inspired by the loss of a couple of pets.  Why, we wondered, is there very little moral ambiguity around ending the life of a pet who is suffering but a great deal when we are talking about a thinking, reasoning person?  We talk about the difference between suicide and euthanasia, the value of human life versus that of other animals and Brittany Maynard.  Grab a tissue for the saddest Geeks Without God yet!

  1. Great episode! This topic has been getting a lot of attention in Canada over the past month, with some government shenanigans and a favourable court case possibly maybe and the big question of how the government will fight back… so I’m glad to hear it’s getting attention there too.

I have just a couple questions. First, at 11:44, is that a TARDIS in the background? If you have a howling cat that sounds that much like a TARDIS I think the public has the right to know.

Second, (I wouldn’t ask this about such a sad topic if you weren’t all professional insult comics) is the dog named Ayn because it shits on everything and expects other people to clean it up?
