_72221104_reutersThis week’s episode features our friend Andy Wilkins, who has several experiences coming out at work.  She’s come out as atheist, a gay man and finally a transgender woman.  We talk about the differences in those experiences and the challenges in coming out at work versus friends and family.  Of course Andy also gets a crack at our five questions.

  1. Lovely podcast. I’ve walked in Andy’s shoes. I identified as a gay male for three decades before taking the transition plunge.

Which was a challenge for me. As an atheist, I’m not accustomed to taking leaps of faith, and having confidence that things will be all right. But, for me, it got to the point that there was no choice in the matter anymore. It wasn’t about courage, it was about finally living my goddamned life the way I saw fit.

Thanks again. If I hadn’t mentioned it before, you guys are awesome. And since your here in Minnesota, too, you’re all awesome…on a stick!
