In this week’s episode, we talk about the 1960 film Inherit the Wind starring Spencer Tracy, Fredric March and Gene Kelly. It’s one of Tim’s favorite films and had a lot to do with shaping his attitudes about evolution and religion. Nick had never seen it so we all sat down and watched the movie and then recorded the episode. It was a good conversation about evolution, religious extremism and one damn fine movie.
Nick mentions the Family Guy view of creationism. You can watch that clip here.
Molly mentions David Thorne’s site 27b/6. You can read the post about his son and the Easter celebration here.
Nick, I’m not sure if you’ve tried it, but your acceptable route into enjoying Law & Order may be Law & Order: UK, featuring Lee Adama and Martha Jones, plus oddly archaic British legal practices (wigs! barristers! other shit!). Worth a shot, anyway.
All right, that sounds worth giving a shot. I think Molly’s mom watches L&O: UK, and it airs on BBCA.
Fredric March’s first name is pronounced “freed-rick.” #knighted
