  • Episode 247 – Live Town Hall

Town-Hall-Meeting-4This week’s episode was recorded live at Die Laughing 2017.  We invited our audience to ask us any question they wanted.  In addition to questions from the live audience, we fielded them from Twitter and Facebook.  Basically, we talked about anything and everything our listeners wanted to hear us talk about.  It was a lot of fun and pretty crazy.  We also gave special dispensation to Jeremy Stomberg for a late response to our five questions!

  • Episode 225 – Jew-Ish

holidaysThis week, we are joined by our friend Nathan Gerber to talk about how his divorced parents used religion as a tool in custody disputes.  Nathan’s father was Jewish and his mother was Lutheran so he was raised both – depending on which house he was in.  Although he apparently wasn’t told he couldn’t have pepperoni on his pizza until it was far too late.  We mostly talk about his Jewish heritage and the times he was actually attacked for being a Jew.  We do get a couple of hits in against the boring-ass music the Lutherans play in church because holy shit is that music boring.

  • Episode 224 – Geologically Imminent

06This week’s episode was recorded live at The Phoenix theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Our guest was Jennifer Menken from the Bell Museum and she joined us to talk about the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service.  Unfortunately, she didn’t do much talking because Tim wouldn’t shut up.  Hopefully we can get Jennifer back to talk about something Tim doesn’t know a thing about.  All that said, this episode is a good (if rapid) review of the history of the National Park service as well as a fine exploration of the different ways Jennifer and Tim pronounce the word “Saguaro.”
