  • Episode 263 – Life After Death and Austria

main-thumb-t-18145-200-vVlpOpOFKDnRmNEBrxSzORsf2E7S48fiThis week’s episode was recorded live at CONvergence 2017 for our fifth birthday!  We are joined by frequent guest Joseph Scrimshaw who tells us all about his work with a video game company in Austria.  We also talk about the idea of what we’d like to see in an afterlife and our concerns with the concept of an afterlife segregated into good and evil.  You may also hear an occasional word or two from Laura Okagaki-Vraspir!  We don’t totally remember.  We had cake flavored vodka.

  • Episode 262 – Death with Doctor LOV

cancer-101-s1-what-is-cancer-cellThis week’s episode was recorded live at CONvergence 2017 with our good friend Laura Okagaki-Vraspir or, as we call her because of her initials, Doctor Lov!  You might remember her as one of our first guests way back on episode 8 when she talked about zombie fungus.  She’s back to talk to us about cancer!  Specifically, she talks to us about facing a potentially terminal disease as an atheist.  It is a super touching Geeks Without God in which we have a serious conversation – and also make jokes – about cancer.  Joseph Scrimshaw also says the occasional word or two.

  • Episode 160 – Making Tabletop Sausage

imagesFor this week’s episode, we were joined once again by comedian Joseph Scrimshaw!  Joseph recently appeared on Tabletop with Wil Wheton and we wanted to talk to him about what it was like making reality show sausage. He tells us how he found himself on the series and all about what it was like to produce an episode.  He also gets a crack at our brand new five questions!

  • Episode 108 – Atheist Comedians

imagesThis week we are joined by our good friend Joseph Scrimshaw.  Joseph is a professional comedian and we have noticed over the time we’ve been recording this podcast that there seem to be a large number of comedians who are atheists and agnostics.  While we completely fail to provide any data supporting this theory, we talk about it anyway.  We also talk about some religious comedians and how Tim has watched them and doesn’t think they are very funny.  As a repeat guest, Joseph also asks us five exciting and very important questions!  Please note there is a wonderful opportunity for some new fan art at the end of the episode.  Go to town people!

  • Episode 49 – Comedic Theory and the Atheism of Doom

This week’s episode features a conversation with comedian Joseph Scrimshaw, author of Comedy of Doom.  Joseph sat down with us to talk about comedic theory, atheism and his new Kickstarter campaign for Flaw Fest.* Joseph is also a podcaster and Molly will be appearing on a live recording of his podcast, Obsessed: with Joseph Scrimshaw at CONvergence this year.  We talk about all of this and more in our far reaching conversation that, of course, includes five questions of doom!  We also have a chance for you to win Joseph’s Comedy album “Verbing the Noun!

*Note – since the episode was recorded, Tim’s band, The Dregs, have been signed up to write and record a song should the Kickstarter be successful.
