Way back in January, there was a silent auction at the Fearless Launch party. One of the items up for bid was a guest spot on Geeks Without God. Months later, we finally got the winner of the epic bidding war on the podcast. Eric Jacobson, the big winner, joined us to talk about his experiences in local politics and we get to talking about what it will take to get atheists into a position where they can actually have an impact on the political process. We also talked about the (then upcoming) historic vote for marriage equality in Minnesota. For his donation, of course, Eric also got a crack at our five questions.

Geeks Without God Podcasting Live THIS SATURDAY!
Hello to all of our local fans! Do you want to enjoy a live recording of your favorite hosts talking to the very funny Aric McKeown? And yes, we do mean the same Aric McKeown who is one half of the wildly funny improv duo The Mustache Rangers.
Well, we’ll be doing a live recording as part of the Fearless Comdey Launch Party this Saturday the 12th at 6:30 PM!
The event runs from 6:00 to midnight and will also feature PowerPoint Karaoke, The Durty Curls and Joseph Scrimshaw. There is a $20 suggested donation at the door and all proceeds will go to Fearless Comedy Productions.

Episode 27 – Apropos of Something
This week is part II of our epic Fearless Comedy crossover EVENT! Last week, the three of us appeared on Apropos of Nothing and this week, the hosts of AON appear on our podcast! With three guests, we didn’t have much time for anything but five questions. Salsa and Jena answered our five questions and then Matt, by virtue of being a former guest, asked the three of us his own five questions (a podcast tradition established by Ronn Bauman during a an episode that will air in a few weeks). So that was a mere ten questions and we talked for almost an hour! Episode 26 – Twenty Thirteen
Happy New Year! Welcome to an exciting new year of Geeks Without God and – you know – other stuff. This episode marks our six month aniverssary and we take some time to look back at 2012 and talk about some things we are looking forward to in 2013. Molly celebrates the end of the “Year of Molly” by issuing an edict on how we are to refer to the upcoming year (hint: it is not “the Year of Nick”). We hardly talk about atheism at all. Episode 21 – Drunk Molly
In our second episode recorded live at OmegaCon 2012, Molly is, somehow, even more drunk than she was in Episode 19. So was Nick, mind you, but he didn’t talk about it as much. Tim wasn’t drunk so that might explain why he did most of the talking. Tim talked about a trip he was about to take to Disney World and the whole thing segued into a conversation about sex education. Then we started talking about Fearless Comedy Productions. Nick and Molly also make a drunken bet that Tim gets to arbitrate and then we read off a listeners’ answer to our five questions. Geeks Without God Fearless Events
Hey everyone! As part of our new partnership with Fearless Comedy, we have a couple of special podcasting events scheduled.
First, we’ll be recording a crossover episode with our fellow Fearless partners, Appropos of Nothing. In early January, we’ll all be sitting down for a epic podcasting evening. The three of us will be guests on the AON Podcast and then the three of them will appear on our podcast.
Scheduled air dates for those two shows are January 3rd for the Appropos of Nothing Podcast and January 8th for Geeks Without God.
We will also be recording our podcast live at the Fearless Comedy launch party on January 12th! Our scheduled guest will be Aric McKeown from the Mustache Rangers!
We’ll be talking about a lot more stuff in conjunction with Fearless Comedy. We’ve even got an episode devoted to it later this month. It’ll get pretty obnoxious.
It’ll also be full of atheism, geekery and comedy so you can take the obnoxious, right?
