  1. Note on the Boy Scouts of America BSA. They require an oath to God. It does not matter what God, but you must follow a higher being. So Agnostics and Atheist are openly not allowed in, unless they lie about their beliefs. So they in fact openly discriminate.

    1. That’s true. It’s something I’ve grappled with where my kids involvement in the organization is concerned. They seem to have adopted something of a “don’t ask – don’t tell” policy in my region so we have something of a truce.
